Sunday Special Workshops

Landscape Drawing with Charcoal:
During this workshop you will try out some of these ways of working including drawing with a cloth, erasers, textured surfaces, stencils and more! You will also learn tricks for getting started, making lots of small drawings as you experiment and using these for inspiration later in the day.
The workshop fee includes all the materials you need. Please bring an apron with you.

Collage your Story:
In this fun, exploratory workshop we will be introduced to collage and how we can use this medium to explore our own culture, and stories to create personal art.

Please bring images that are personal to you and your personal heritage, family story or culture. These can include photos, items of interest to you, ribbons, or stamps or ticket stubs or greeting cards, a letter or a recipe book, magazines, or newspaper articles.?? These can be copied at the centre if you don't want to use the originals.?

Learn to Make a Japanese Knot Bag:
These delightful bags can be made in any size either by hand or with a sewing machine. They are small open tote bags but, with a twist. They are useful for knitting, crochet, sewing projects and to carry lunch to work!

Please bring a basic sewing kit with you. You will need to bring a basic sewing kit, 2 x half metres of cotton fabric, and matching thread. You can also bring your machine if you wish to use one. If you choose to use your machine you will be able make the bag very much more quickly and you may be able to make more than one (in which case bring additional fabric)!

Pottery Throwing:
Come and take your potter's wheel driving test in this fun and friendly one-day class. Whether a complete beginner or someone looking to gain more experience, this class will teach you everything you need to know about throwing pots at the wheel. Your course fee includes the cost of firing for two pieces.

Bring an apron/ old towel.

Other Workshops 10am - 4pm

Other Workshops: £50/£45 members

Suitable for ages 16 years to adult; don't forget to bring a packed lunch!
