Short Course: Watercolour for Beginners Part 1

This course will give you an introduction to watercolours.
It is suitable for beginners, those returning to using watercolours, or those wanting to try out different techniques.
You will learn some of the basic techniques such as blending, washes, and wet on wet to paint a range of subjects.
What to Bring:
(Bundles of watercolour paints / brushes are available at the QPAC Art Shop)
Selection of watercolour paints (either pans or tubes)
White gouache paint (small tube)
Selection of brushes (such as Daler Rowney size 10 and 2 round, and at least one flat brush 1/2 inch - 1 inch)
A4 Watercolour paper pad (minimum 250 gsm cold pressed/NOT paper)
Masking tape
Masking fluid (ideally frisk masking fineliner/ needle tip)
Mixing palette
Small natural painting sponge
Pencil
Rubber
Ruler
Fine tip waterproof black drawing pen
Suitable for adults and students aged 16+
Times: 10.30am - 12.30pm
