Sunday Special Workshops - 15 May 2022

One Ounce of Ag with Michael Carberry
This one-day workshop will involve thinking about how you work with one ounce of silver and what YOU might be able to make with it. Michael will send further information about the workshop to those interested nearer the time.
Bring along a sketchbook, hand tools and materials*. QPAC has a limited supply of some tools and equipment for students to use.
*Please contact us to confirm the project you'd like to work on, and Michael will advise what metal to bring with you.

Fun with Clay Slip with Elain Wells
This workshop involves trailing coloured slips onto clay to create beautiful patterns.
After the workshop we will fire your work and add a clear glaze on top. Your finished items will be ready for collection within the month. Please bring an apron and a towel.

Raku Firing with Helen Neighbour & Adam Hoyle
Students can bring 6-8 pieces of bisque-fired work to fire in our special outdoor raku kiln. Please bring an apron and closed-toed shoes with you. This class takes place outside, so be sure to dress for all-weathers! You will get a chance to try out the firing process, but there may not be time to fire every item you bring.

Stained glass with Caroline Kearsey
All materials are provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a mask and apron. If bringing a drink with you, please ensure it is in a bottle or lidded cup.

Wall Hangings with Zeena Morris
Learn to make your own personal fluffy wall hanging. Please bring the yarns of your choice as well as an idea in mind for a design. The best yarn to use is 3/4ply.

Draw Aylesbury with Salina Jane
In this course we will be leaving Queens Park Arts Centre to explore Aylesbury itself. We will be taking our pens to the streets of our town, finding wonderful spots to draw and sketch as a group. Paper will be provided if you need it, pens, pencils will be provided. Dress appropriately for Aylesbury weather.
Times: 10am - 4pm

Cost:
Stained Glass: £70/£65 members
All other workshops: £50/£45 members

Suitable for adults and students aged 16+
Don't forget to bring a packed lunch!
