The Passion- A contemporary play for modern audiences
This promenade production of The Gatton Passion is a retelling of the life of Christ, played by professional actor Dominic Rye, fully supported by a large cast of characters from the local community aged from 8 to 80+. The beautiful setting of Gatton Park is an ideal place to follow his journey from the Baptism through to the crucifixion and resurrection. (Not suitable for younger children.)
Car parks will be open from 6.00pm and you may picnic on the parterre from this time. The Box Office will be open from 6.30pm. You are advised to arrive no later than 7.00pm to walk from the car park to the first scene. The routes around the park are over gravel paths and grass: appropriate footwear is advised.
Golf buggies are available to take mobility impaired only audience members around the performance sites. Advance booking for buggy is essential.
Seating is not provided, please bring rugs or lightweight folding chairs if required.
Performances will continue regardless of the weather but in the event of lightning they will be suspended for safety reasons.
