Meditation Classes for Beginners in Reading
A six-week course exploring a fresh perspective to life, meditations to manage stress and anxiety
In our modern world it seems that, whatever our lifestyle, we will inevitably experience much stress and anxiety. But so much of the stress and tension we experience comes from our mind, and many of our daily problems, such as relationship difficulties and ill health, are caused or aggravated by this stress.
On this course we will explore how Buddhist meditation, combined with a change in our perspective on life, can enable us to control our mind and thereby reduce and finally eliminate this stress. Through training in these practices and applying them in our daily life, we can develop an unshakeable mind that is always happy and relaxed, regardless of our external circumstances.
February 22nd – How to keep a calm mind in a busy life
March 1st – Meditations to reduce anxiety
March 8th – Medicine for the mind
March 15th – Managing expectations
March 22nd – Dealing with difficult people
March 29th – Dealing with difficult situations
Each class consists of two guided meditations and instruction. Anyone can practice meditation and everyone is welcome to attend.
These classes are run as courses but you don't need to attend the full course and can just come along to individual classes as you wish.
