In 2013 Guy Stagg walked from Canterbury to Jerusalem.
On the way he visited Rome and Istanbul, and every night he stayed with monks and nuns, priests and families. A non-believer himself, Guy nevertheless gained a unique perspective on contemporary religion.
In his talk at Gladstone’s Library, he will describe not only the ten months he spent on the road - the places he visited, the people he met - but also explain the five-year process by which this walk became a book (The Crossways).
