The BIG Plant & Bake Sale
Host an event as part of The BIG Plant and Bake Sale on Saturday 28 May 2022 and make a real difference to the lives of disabled veterans.
Take part in The BIG Plant and Bake Sale by hosting a sale of plants and/or baked goods on Saturday 28 May 2022 (or near to the day) at a time to suit you.
We will provide tips and templates to help you organise your event and we will add the public events on our website to help people find you on the day.
Host an event of any size, it all helps!
A few spare plants? You could take part by a leaving a few plants and an honesty/collection box outside for your neighbours. If you don’t have anywhere suitable, then maybe you know someone that does?
Make a couple of cakes. You could let a few friends/neighbours know you are taking part and ask for a donation in return for their favourite sweet treat!
A bit of help from family and friends. Ask your friends and family to put their skills to good use and fill a table on a driveway at the best located house for people walking past. Why not sign up on behalf of a group or your team at work?
If you are involving your friends and colleagues:
Ask any green-fingered gardeners you know to pop a few extra seeds in now for plants to be ready for the 28 May.
Ask your culinary-skilled colleagues to put the date in their diary to make their favourite or most popular baked goods.

How it helps
The proceeds from the event will go to Care for Veterans, which provides care and rehabilitation to disabled veterans. The charity must raise over £1.5 million each year to continue to provide its specialist care to veterans with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or a degenerative neurological condition, such as multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease and
