Shadows in the Sun - A Solo Exhibition by Anne Guest
An exciting exhibition of cyanotypes that celebrate the beauty, fragility, and vulnerability of the natural world. Wildflower meadows, hedgerows and verges that provide shelter, navigational aids, homes, travel corridors and food sources for insects, birds and small mammals who provide pollination, educative and creative. Cyanotypes are the oldest photographic printing technique and were originally used for making botanical images. Anne combines botanical specimens with other imagery to produce contemporary cyanotypes that create a narrative about the importance of declining natural habitats in the UK.
