Buxton International Festival hits the road this spring and will be bringing a snapshot of its world class opera, music and jazz programmes to Glossop on Thursday 5th May.
Whether you’re a seasoned opera fan, a jazz aficionado or a complete newcomer, there’s something for everyone - experience the world of opera, music and books in a friendly, fun and welcoming atmosphere with a taster of the summer programme and the chance to win a £50 voucher to spend on tickets for this summer’s festival in Buxton between 7 and 24 July.
There will be performances from members of the Northern Chamber Orchestra and Royal Northern College of Music including arias from Rossini, Donizetti and Hasse, music from Elgar, Handel and Piazzolla and show tunes from the Festival’s brand new musical, produced in collaboration with Buxton Opera House – Gypsy: A Musical Fable. The evening will be rounded off with some excerpts from the Festival’s jazz programme.
