A Personal Pilgrimage uses the 12th-century Persian poem, Conference of the Birds, to guide you on a journey of personal discovery. The allegorical poem sees a group of birds – each representing a distinct human flaw – embark on a pilgrimage. The birds journey together but each face their own unique struggle, as they cross the seven valleys of Quest, Love, Knowledge, Detachment, Unity, Wonderment and Simplicity. The wisdom contained within the poem sparks memories, emotions and insights that are different for each person, and teaches us about the unique inner journey each of us must undertake in order to achieve spiritual wellness.
Our expert facilitators will use this text to guide you on your own journey of understanding. They will create an inspirational space for you to bring your whole authentic self to, and facilitate a spiritual quest that is undertaken entirely on your own terms, with the perfect mixture of support and challenge for you. Each session will be based on one of the seven valleys, and will involve:
