First World War presentation-Ypres: Holy Ground
Prof Connelly teaches at the University of Kent. He has a particular interest in the commemoration of the two world wars with a specialism in the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. He will be talking about Ypres, the Belgium city, which became holy ground to the British Army, who defended it throughout the war.
Doors will open at 7:00pm, with the presentation starting at 7:30pm.
The talk is free although a small donation, payable at the door, is encouraged to pay for the running of the branch & to support it's activities.
Non-WFA members most welcome.
