Story telling - Tistou of the Green Thumbs, told by Ashley Ramsden
Ashley Ramsden, tells the story of ‘Tistou of the Green Thumbs’
A story for adults and children over 8 years of age. In tune with the themes of climate concerns, COP26 and the war in Ukraine, Tistou is a story central to our future; funny, touching, full of colourful characters.
Tistou doesn’t fit in at school…. but then it is discovered that he has a special gift; where Tistou touches, flowers grow. He makes flowers grow in slums, prisons, and hospitals. His masterpiece: he causes the guns to shoot flowers and a senseless war is ended. It is then that the people discover he was an angel.
The story by Maurice Druon has stood the test of time, and is expertly and movingly brought to life by renowned storyteller, Ashley Ramsden.
