Charlie Haylock - in his one-man-show

Charlie Haylock is a master of Suffolk and many other dialects, and is a leading Suffolk entertainer. His informative and humorous one-man shows are legendary in East Anglia, and his books are bestsellers.

He'll be presenting his talk on the making of the Netflix film, ‘The Dig’, which starred Ralph Fiennes, and is a hilarious and intriguing behind-the-scenes look at the story of the Sutton Hoo burial ship and the characters involved. Ralph Feinnes, a stickler for authenticity, sought Charlie to be the dialect coach for the cast, which is why no west-country accents were heard in the film.

Fundraiser with proceeds shared between Bergh Apton Church and the Trussell Trust/Norwich Food Bank.
