This constantly changing lecture features a wide variety of work from the RSN Collection and from current and recent students. Showcasing many embroidery techniques this lecture will open eyes as to just what can be achieved with a needle and thread.
No prior knowledge of embroidery is needed to enjoy this lecture that shows the imagination and skill of RSN students in creating everything from selfies in stitch to a White Walker for Game of Thrones and from realising children’s stories to crafting jewellery.
Susan Kay Williams is Chief Executive of the Royal School of Needlework, based at Hampton Court Palace. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Chartered Institute of Marketing and in 2015 was made a Fellow of the Society of Dyers and Colourists in recognition of her work on the history of dyes.
