YBTC's NEW cycling challenge for 2022 is Route 66 - the Spen Valley Greenway!
Raise funds for a great cause while enjoying fascinating sculptures and traffic-free cycling from Oakenshaw to Dewsbury (with the option to extend the route to Huddersfield!)
As this is your challenge, you can select your own distance and customise your route! Sign up for one of the below options:
Option 1 – Oakenshaw to Dewsbury (approx 10 miles)
We'll finish directly off the traffic-free path and do not go as far as Dewsbury station, so you can enjoy safe, stress-free cycling!
Option 2 – Oakenshaw to Dewsbury to Oakenshaw (approx 20 miles)
Double up your challenge by taking on the return journey!
Option 3 – Oakenshaw to Huddersfield (approx 17.5 miles)
Extend the route and continue on Route 66! After leaving Dewsbury we'll cycle on the Calder Valley Greenway and end up at Huddersfield Train Station. Please note, this option involves on-road cycling.
Option 4 – Oakenshaw to Huddersfield to Oakenshaw (approx 30 miles)
Take in the Spen Valley Greenway and the Calder Valley Greenway, and then cycle with us all the way back to Victoria Park!
