Tom Waters' Electric People - Live at Sunnyside Jazz Club

Few 21 year old saxophonists can boast such a remarkable start to their career; TOM WATERS has recorded with music legends such as The Rolling Stones, Ray Davies, and Ronnie Wood. He's also made a name for himself on the touring circuit playing with bands such as The Jools Holland Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Mick Taylor, Mungo Jerry, Broken Social Scene and Nine Below Zero.

Tom’s saxophone style is hugely influenced by the soulful saxophone players of Ray Charles, from Hank Crawford to David ‘Fathead’ Newman, as well as David Sanborn and Stanley Turrentine. Tom is one of the UK's most exciting saxophonists on the Blues/Jazz scene with a highly expressive creativity and maturity in his playing.

We are very happy to be welcoming Tom's latest musical outfit as part of our summer series, TOM WATERS' ELECTRIC PEOPLE, a high energy roots and blues revue steeped in groove and hugely inspired by Derek Trucks and Bonnie Raitt. The quartet comprises of soulful saxophone, bluesy organ, sultry slide guitar, and relaxed ‘phatback’ groove which presents a truly unique sound. This promises to be an evening of feel-good roots/blues music, thrilling virtuosity, and excitement! Don't miss the opportunity to see this rising star in an intimate 'jazz club' setting.
