Plymouth Symphony Orchestra Summer Concert
Join the Plymouth Symphony Orchestra for our summer concert 2022, which has a distinctly international flavour. The programme features favourite works for symphony orchestra by Russian, Italian and English composers including Tchaikovsky and Verdi.
Opening with Verdi’s Force of Destiny Overture and Liadov’s The Enchanted Lake, the concert also includes Khatchaturian’s thrilling and explosive Spartacus Suite, Butterworth’s pastoral and nostalgic Rhapsody for Orchestra and the ever popular and passionate Fantasy Overture, inspired by the tragic story of Romeo and Juliet, by Tchaikovsky.
Once again the orchestra are looking forward to playing in the fabulous Sterts Theatre setting, where the local birds often join in with our concerts! The PSO are delighted to be back performing live music in the region and we look forward to seeing you there.
