The Skewer is BBC Radio 4’s multi-award winning ‘satirical river of sound’, where current affairs melts into music, movies, and popular culture soundbites. Re-imagined as a DJ set, up-to-the-minute events melt into a collage of composition, packed full of surprising songs and satire. If you’ve never experienced a satirical DJ set before (you haven’t, there isn’t one) let The Skewer transport you to some comedically dark places as creator Jon Holmes brings the spirit of radio to the stage and haunts your senses with sound. Dance if you wish, drink if you must (no one will judge you, it’s been a rough couple of years), or just sit back on a hot summer’s night and let the soundscapes of The Skewer wash over you.
