Concerts in Caversham - Chamber Music for piano, viola and clarinet

Concerts in Caversham will present an evening of trios and duos for the unusual combination of viola, clarinet and piano given by The Caversham Ensemble. All top professional musicians, Adrienne Black-piano, Morgan Goff-viola and Max Welford-clarinet will introduce Mozart's effervescent Kegelstadt Trio along with dramatic trios by Reinecke and Max Bruch. They will also include duos by Schumann - his wonderfully moving Adagio and Allegro, sometimes played on the clarinet but on this occasion on the viola, as well as Horrowitz's jazz inspired and energetic sonata for clarinet. The musicians will introduce the programme as they go along, although Concerts in Caversham always produce wonderfully detailed programme notes and information as well. St Andrew's church is a stunning location for chamber music and boasts a wonderful acoustic and an excellent grand piano. The concert series is now well into its eleventh year of top professional music making in the area and can be thoroughly recommended. Check out the newly designed web-site for more information. There is a bar open from 6.45pm and also during the interval. Children are welcome to attend and all children under the age of 16 are free. There are reduced tickets for 16-25 year olds and concessions for the over 60s. Tickets are available on-line through the website Box Office and will also be available on sale from Friday 27th May at Caversham Picture Framers and Art Gallery.
