Teignmouth Open Gardens - NGS
Come to Teignmouth for a spectacular National Gardening Scheme (NGS) open gardens event! This year, there are twelve gardens to visit, plus the Teignmouth Orangery. Visitors can start at any of the gardens and purchase a ticket and collect a map which will give entry to all the gardens.
There are two new gardens opening this year: 21 Gorway which is a very small garden, that has a greenhouse, fruit trees, veg growing and an abundance of flowers - showing that no matter the size of your garden, you can really have it all! The second new garden is Lower Holcombe House in Holcombe (just north of Teignmouth) which is set in half an acre of garden surrounding a detached thatched family home, with views across land set aside as undeveloped coast. This is a garden restoration and regeneration project which started 3 years ago, and has many years to go. A mix of cottage planting and a hot bed with hints of tropical. A small glasshouse and a potting shed.
