War of the Roses at Hoghton Tower

Sir John Savile’s Household are back at Hoghton Tower for two days of encampment, living history, demonstrations, drills and more! Great fun for all the family. The attendance of little knights in armour is encouraged!

10.30am – The Encampment opens – Living history displays around the campsite will be taking place throughout the day.
11am – First Combat Demonstration – Archery & Guns, followed by “Have a go Archery”
12 noon – Lunch break, encampment remains open to view.
1pm – Mummers Style Play
2pm – Second Combat Demonstration – Bills & knights, leading on to kids bill drill.
3pm – Gunnery Demonstration

Important Information:
Dogs are not permitted anywhere on site on the 28th & 29th May 2022, this is due to loud noises omitted by the guns and other activity and for the welfare of the animal and the safety of those on site.

Admission fee: Adult £5.00 pp, Children £3.00pp, Under 5s free
Site Entry ticket includes gardens.
Tearoom open 11am – 4pm (last entry 3:30pm)
Gardens open 10:30am – 4pm (last entry 3:30pm)
Family Friendly House Tours available £7.50pp, pre book online with your site admission.
Afternoon Tea bookings available, pre book online with your site admission.
