Choral Concert by Erleigh Cantors Sacred Music through the Centuries

Jubilee Choral Concert in aid of Ukraine and St Peter's Church - Saturday 21 May 7.00 pm

Concert by long-established local group, the Erleigh Cantors, directed by Ian Westley. Organ accompaniments and organ solos by Paul Manley. The Cantors celebrated their 30th anniversary last year and the concert programme includes music commissioned from Andrew Millington to celebrate that event.

The programme includes music popularly included in royal events - Parry's I Was Glad and Handel's Coronation Anthem, The King Shall Rejoice, as well as works by Parsons, Phillips, Bruckner, Soler, Tavener and Stanford.

St Peter's, the hosting church, is a beautiful Victorian flint-built church in pretty grounds, situated in the heart of Earley. It has entrancing stained glass windows and religious murals, and traditional layout/seating. The organ is a fine, well-maintained instrument and the church acoustic is excellent.

Parking is available in the adjacent church/hall, school and Sol Joel car parks, the latter staying open later by special arrangement. Accessible toilets are available in the church hall.
Admission is by ticket, suggested donation £10 (students £8, under-18s free). These will be available on the door but you are encouraged to obtain tickets beforehand to assist in catering for the interval refreshments. For more information telephone Maggie on 07946 620560 or Ian on 0118 947 8382, or email maggie.nunn@btinternet.com.
