Lasham Classical Music Festival 2022

After a cancelled Festival in 2020, and a reduced event with smaller, socially distanced audiences in 2021, the Lasham Classical Music Festival is looking forward to returning in style this summer!

This year’s Festival runs over the weekend of Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd July 2022, with all events taking place in the idyllic setting of St Mary’s Church, Lasham - located between Alton, Basingstoke and Odiham. Programmes include recitals from rising saxophone star Manu Brazo and pianist Tyler Hay – a recent participant in the Leeds International Piano Competition. There will also be two concerts featuring the Festival Players performing works by Haydn, Mozart, Britten and Johann Strauss.

Saturday evening’s concert is a Supper Concert where audience members are invited to bring a picnic and enjoy the glorious surroundings of St Mary’s churchyard – or alternatively to repair next door to The Royal Oak for a delicious dinner. The Royal Oak is also open for pre and post-concert drinks.

The Festival has a strong track history in supporting and encouraging the musicians of tomorrow, and makes grant awards each year to young musicians with links to the local area. On Saturday 2nd July at 11am there is a chance to hear talented award-winners in a free Award Winners Concert.
