Park Life

When can writing a play be like a walk in the park?
When you are a member of a Make it Write’s Tag team workshop providing an uplifting look at a park through its seasons and the people who frequent it.
In their latest project the Liverpool-based group brought together nine writers from the North West to take a sideways look at life, love, loss and longing.
As well as the plants growing in all their glory we see the vandals who have blossomed into responsible parents.
The old park bench has witnessed the many possibilities we have to connect with strangers that can lead to new friendships and revisit old romances. It has seen hopes kindled and dreams fostered.
David Haworth is the show’s dramaturg while Elaine Louise Stewart takes the reigns as both writers’ mentor and assistant director’s mentor. The assistant director is Dylan Russell and the show’s producer is Sharon Colpman.

“Working with Elaine has been an incredible experience so far and we’ve got a brilliant cast to give this show life. I’m excited to see where this show takes me and and improves my directing abilities,” says Dylan Russell.
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £11. You can buy on line at: www.openingnights.co.uk/tickets/backend/parklife
