The Vicar of Dibley
When Reverend Pottle, who has presided over the village of Dibley for decades, passes on to another world, the parishioners are surprised by his replacement – a chocolate loving, Sean Bean obsessed vicar. The the biggest shock is that she is a woman!
Geraldine granger is surrounded by parishioners of the maddest variety : Frank pickle, the world’s most boring man; Jim Trott, who can’t string a sentence together; Letitia Cropley, the queen of Corden Bleu; Hugo Horton, who thinks Kylie Minogue should be Prime Minister; Alice Tinker, who makes Hugo Horton look intelligent; Owen Newitt, local farmer and a complete stranger to personal hygiene, and David Horton – snobbish, bad-tempered but ultimately loveable.
This hilarious show is a combination of episodes from series 1 and 2, as well as an Easter special. It starts with Geraldine’s arrival in Dibley, and ends with the wedding of Hugo and Alice. In its 13 years on TV, it won multiple British Academy Television Awards.
The show starts at 7.30pm each evening and tickets are £9
