This year’s BBC Proms programme has this to say: “Bach’s Mass in B Minor was the composer’s last major work: the apotheosis of an entire career. Monumental in size and scope, a musical statement of faith that takes listeners from penitence and prayer to redemption and ecstatic rejoicing…one of the greatest sacred works in the repertoire. If you go to see it there you could pay up to £62 for a ticket; here it will cost you no more than £20!
The concert was originally scheduled for March 2020, but postponed because of the pandemic. We are really looking forward to picking up this wonderful work once again and performing it for what we hope will be a full house!
