Holmfirth Arts Festival 2022 - weekend of free performance

Holmfirth Arts Festival is spreading events over several months from April to October 2022, but will still hold a traditional festival weekend in the centre of Holmfirth, on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 June, 2022.
On the Saturday, a day of music in the park is to be performed by local people and professionals in Holmside Gardens and promises a fun day out.
Featuring live performances from Leeds based Kinaara, a cross-genre fusion ensemble bringing together folk, jazz and rock, led by the superb Punjabi vocals of Satnam Galsian, with support from HAF Community Beats, Soul Choir, Strumstastic, Cafe Orchestra, Honley Male Voice Choir, Cool Chords, HD9 Junior Band, Trombone Choir, Wind Band and Youth Brass Band.

On Sunday 19 June, spectacular street theatre returns to the streets, with premieres of new shows from Highly Sprung performance – who bought the town to a halt with Urban Astronaut last year and Mind the Gap – both shows highlight climate change issues. Pif Paf Theatre will also perform Bee Cart, which is top quality street theatre suitable for young children, toddlers and all ages.
The festival weekend is made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council England, Kirklees Council and Longley Farm.
