Oxfam Open Gardens
Oxfam Secret Gardens Sunday July 17 1pm to 5pm
The ever popular Oxfam Open Gardens is back! This year the date has been moved from the end of August to the middle of July, when the gardens will be at their blooming best. This year's gardens are located in the south west corner of Bakewell, off the A6 Matlock Road, in the Wye Bank, Wyedale Crescent and Burton Close Areas. The gardens vary in size and character, with interesting plant collections and some with stunning views,. Drinks and delicious home-made cakes will be available in some of the gardens, along with jewellery and plant stalls.
A free shuttle bus is available for those who need mobility assistance. This can be located in the centre of town outside the Information Centre.
£5 entrance to all gardens, payable at the Open Gardens stall by Bath Gardens and on the A6 at the bottom of Burton Close Drive.
Look out for the Oxfam balloons and banners.
