Saturday afternoon Recital - Emmanuel Bach, Violin
The exciting and extraordinarily talented violinist Emmanuel Bach provides the entertainment at the next recital in the Saturday afternoon Music@St Martin’s series.
Emmanuel plays sonatas by Schubert and Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky’s Valse-Scherzo. His accompanist is Jenny Stern.
Emmanuel studied at Magdalen College, Oxford and the Royal College of Music. As soloist he has performed the concertos of Brahms, Mendelssohn, Paganini and Tchaikovsky and has been invited to play the Bach’s Double Concerto with Anne-Sophie Mutter. He is equally at home as a chamber musician and has amassed an impressive array of concert appearances in major venues including Wigmore Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields and Queen Elizabeth Hall.
