Picnic in the Park - Abbey of St Edmunds 1000 Years
You’re invited to pop into the Abbey Gardens on Saturday 16 July for a community event to celebrate the 1000th Anniversary of the Abbey of St Edmund.
Starting at 10am you’ll be able to enjoy a day of enjoyment and festivity with local performers, charities and community groups along with family fun activities, tours of the Abbey and much more.
Bring a picnic and enjoy live music and entertainment with local traders and groups as we honour the year-long occasion in the wonderful Abbey Gardens along with the remains of the Abbey and history of St Edmund.
What better way to spend the day in the summer sun, listening and sharing stories with a bite to eat from food and drink stalls?!
This event includes:
- Live music stage
- Storytelling and trails with Hatty Ashton of Bring Out Your Dead Productions
- Funfair rides
- Combat archery
- Climbing wall
