Queens Jubilee Treasure Trail
Heapey and Wheelton Village Hall Committee would like to invite you and your family, to join them on their walking ‘Treasure Trail with a Difference’ to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Treasure Trail will take place on 28 May 2022 from 11.00am onwards and should take approximately 1 ½ - 2 hours to complete starting and finishing at the Village Hall on West View, Wheelton, and the route is suitable for all ages including children in prams, or anyone in a wheelchair. So that the Trail can be completed by 5.00pm the last time to enter will be 3.30pm. The cost to enter is £5 per family of four and an extra £1 for every additional family member (cash only please). All children of primary school age and younger, will receive a special ‘token’ just for taking part. Prizes will be awarded for the family who complete the Trail in the fastest time and provides the most correct answers to the clues. There will also be a number of ‘displays’ made by members of the community found along the Trail depicting events which have taken place during the 70 years of the Queen’s reign. You will be asked to take note of the titles of these displays as you proceed along the Trail and to say which one, in your opinion, is the best.
If you have taken part in our Easter Egg Treasure Trails in the past, you will already know how enjoyable they are. If you haven’t joined us for previous Trails then this is your opportunity to do so. Just arrive at the Village Hall, complete an entry form, pay your entry fee and then you can be on your way. Light refreshments, at moderate charges, will be available in the Village Hall on your return.
