Brenda (Jackie Cooper) is running a charity shop, with the slightly addled Prue (Angie Jacks) and the sight-impaired Denny (Paula Richmond). But there are changes in the charity and John Turk the CEO (Ben Mills) with his devoted Claire (Jacqueline Dixon) are keen on a new image - younger staff. Brenda has to cope with her customers, a community service offender, Leanne (Lucy Tanner) and the new regime.
As the local shoppers including an obnoxious woman Karen (Mandy Preston), a chatty woman Janet (Justine Haywood), a costume lady Cynthia (Georgie Ridgeway) and a penny-pinching purchaser Vicky (Sarah Grainger) search their way through all the shop has to offer there are many goings - on.
Your typical high street charity shop with the added Ilkeston Theatre Company humour, and maybe the odd flasher.
