What Makes French Music French?

Bexhill Choral Society presents a Piano Recital by Kenneth Roberts - What Makes French Music French?

What is it that gives French music that peculiar 'Frenchness'; that elusive, sensual quality which pervades so much of French culture and lifestyle? The question is considered via a light-hearted journey through the piano music of Debussy, Satie, Ravel, Faure, and Poulenc.
