The Melplash Agricultural Society Show is one of the South West’s premier agricultural exhibitions and is held at The West Bay Show grounds, Bridport, Dorset on Thursday 25th August 2022.
Our show really offers something for everyone! The showground is packed full of exhibits including livestock, horses, homecrafts and horticulture. There are over 400 trade stands selling everything from locally produced food to tractors… and plenty in between! Our main arena welcomes heart stopping performances from the Devil's Horsemen, along with showing of Heavy Horses, show jumping and the grand parade of prize winning animals. Our Countryside arena hosts displays throughout the day including ferret racing, dog & duck display, falconry and gun dog displays. Around the showground you will find lots of performers including a Punch & Judy Show, Pocket Orchestra, Strawberry Jam clown and many more!
Farming and agriculture really is at the heart of our show and visitors will be able to watch judging of the wonderful animals. We will be building on the success of our Discover Farming marquee – a must visit for all families who are interested in learning more about food production and farming. There will be a number of activities and interactive demonstrations where children of all ages can get hands on experience of a variety of ‘Farm to Food’ activities.
