Focus On Textiles in Art
You are invited to come and enjoy a free-to-view exhibition of eco-conscious Textiles Art at Aylesbury’s Queens Park Arts Centre from 11-26 June 2022. Curated as a part of Bucks Art Weeks, this hand-picked group of four local Textiles Artists will not only have a beautiful display of their own work, but will be demonstrating their skills in person (see here for dates www.hannahheys.com/bucks-art-weeks) and providing workshops (please book in advance via www.queensparkarts.com).

Here is an introduction to each of the four artists who will be exhibiting their work as part of the exhibition.
Hannah Heys will be exhibiting a range of bright hand tufted, hand punched and latch hooked wall hangings, created using reclaimed and British yarns. www.hannahheys.com?
Alex Vincent Turner will be displaying his personal ‘Road Out of Lockdown’ project of hand and machine embroidered maps. www.alexvincenttextiles.com
Jo Evans will be displaying her minimal paintless paintings, using natural fabrics and papers such as linen, silk and hemp. www.100hours.co.uk?
Marie Jones will have an array of felted wool and embroidery paintings, inspired by the wild coastlines and landscapes of her childhood as well as the gentler rolling hills and woodlands of Buckinghamshire
