Beacon Academy Sixth Form Open Evening
Students progressing to Further Education in September 2023 are invited to explore Beacon Academy Sixth Form at their Open Evening on Tuesday 12th July 2022, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
Prospective students and their parents or carers will have the opportunity to explore Beacon Academy’s dedicated Sixth Form Centre and talk with specialist subject leaders and members of the Sixth Form team about the excellent range of courses and opportunities on offer post-16 and how to combine their skills and interests into the package that is right for them.
During the event, the Assistant Headteachers, Post-16, Dr Katrina Grossman and Mr Charles Howarth, along with their experienced team of Sixth Form support staff, will be available to provide information about the outstanding pastoral care and expert guidance available to Beacon Academy Sixth Form students as they develop as independent learners and prepare to progress to university, apprenticeships or employment.
Student-led subject presentations in the Cafeteria will enable visitors to gain further insight into Sixth Form life. Experienced Careers Education staff and our coordinator for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award will also be on-hand to answer questions and dispense specialist advice.
