Hand on History for all ages - Sounds Familiar

Do you recognise that noise? We have lots of objects in the collection that are associated with a very distinctive sound. Some objects warn such as the wartime gas rattle and a fire engine bell. Other objects make noise to entertain us, including records and radios.

Get hands on with Museum objects every third Saturday of the month! Join one of our Museum Access Assistants as they spotlight items from the Museum’s collections.

All exhibitions and events are free.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. No booking required.
Tuesday – Saturday 10:30am – 4:30pm
Sunday 2pm – 4:30pm
Donations welcome.
