Ukraine Cake Competition and Tea and Cake afternoon
We wanted to let you know that we are hosting two events on Wednesday the 6th July at John Kyrle High School to raise money for the Ukraine appeal.
The first event will be a baking competition and is open to students, staff, parents, carers, and members of the public. All you need to do is bake a cake at home and bring it to Reception on the morning of Wednesday 6th July. Entry tickets (£4.00 each) and you can request a ticket by e-mailing bakingcompetition@jkhs.org and pick it up in reception. Tickets are limited to 150, so get in early to avoid disappointment! For a full list of competition rules please see the attached document. We are hoping that once the cakes have been judged they could be donated to the afternoon event (see below for details). Prizes have been kindly donated by local businesses including M&J @ Labels, The Gateway at Labels Shopping and Aldi, and the lucky winners will be announced during the afternoon event held on the same day.
The second event (from 4.30pm- 6.30pm) will be a Tea and Cake afternoon which is open to everyone, including members of the public. This will be held in the school hall where a wide selection of cakes, tea/coffee and soft drinks will be available. During the afternoon there will be a tombola, JKHS music ensemble followed by a family quiz. The winners of the baking competition will also be announced.
