Colchester Chamber Choir - Come, months, come away

Come, months, come away is a programme of beautiful and varied short choral works delighting in nature and the passing year. The music moves through early pieces describing different animals to the golden age of English choral writing by Elgar, Parry, Bridge and Finzi and the programme is crowned with Mendelssohn’s opus 59, three works by Saint-Saëns and Hindemith’s settings of poems by Rilke, his stunning Six Chansons.

Refreshments will be served prior to the concert.

P.S. Do you know that we run a Choral Apprenticeship Scheme for young singers (16-25) that has helped apprentices win choral scholarships, and places at prestigious universities? If you know of anyone who might be interested in joining the Choir, please encourage them to contact our Director, Roderick Earle.
