Patrick Clahar with Terence Collie, Pete Billington & Tristan Mailliot
This month our frontline guest at Riverside Arts Jazz will be saxophonist Patrick Clahar with Terence Collie on piano, Pete Billington on bass and Tristan Mailliot on drums.
Patrick Clahar is one of the leading saxophonists of his generation, His playing is tempered with a strong sense of melodic improvisation. A leading light of the Julian Joseph Big Band and small group, Patrick achieved worldwide recognition as the sax player with Bill Bruford's Earthworks. Long established and sought after on the studio scene, he has also worked with the likes of Jazz Jamaica, Jason Rebello and Steve Grossman.
Riverside Arts Jazz is run by a friendly team and the Riverside Arts Centre is a comfortable concert venue with a grand piano, good acoustics and lighting plus a reasonably priced bar run by Arts Centre volunteers.
£15+booking fee or £15 cash on the door.
