Cirencester Cohousing - Is it for you?
Imagine a home where you …
Know all your neighbours
Live privately in your own house with shared facilities like workshops, social areas and open space
Save money with lower energy bills and shared equipment in an environmentally sensitive, pedestrian friendly community you helped create!
Well, that is the core of Cohousing. Come and meet us and see if cohousing could be for you. Cirencester Cohousing is a group of people coming together to design and commission a cohousing project in this beautiful part of the Cotswolds. We are looking for new members to help bring forward a scheme for 32 Passivhaus dwellings. Cohousing is a cluster of differently sized homes around a “village green” with shared resources such as guest rooms (so you don’t need so many spare bedrooms), socialising, work and entertaining space, shared tools and equipment (we don’t all need to own a lawnmower!). Most importantly, the housing is designed and managed by the people who live there. So, the earlier you get involved, the more involvement you will have in the design process whilst, once we have all moved in, we will all be in control of service charges as there will not be a landlord needing to make a profit.
There is parking which is free in the evening at the rear of The Bothy in The Brewery Car Park. The large 12 is for the shop, we are in The Bothy which is next door.
