The Handlebards present Twelfth Night
This year we are being visited by Handlebards' all boys troupe - cycling to and from venues and often using cycles in their performances their productions always get us in a spin...During the summer the troupe cycles across the UK with all of their set, props and costumes on the back of their bikes, covering over 1,000 miles and performing high quality Shakespearean productions in theatres and outdoor venues. In the winter months they travel to warmer climes, performing at international theatres and arts festivals.
And what’s the play about? Well – a young woman disguises herself as a man and becomes entangled in the courtship of two aristocrats - this tale upends conventions of romance and gender roles.
