Create attractive, unique jewellery using enamel and wire
Vitreous enamelling is the fusion of glass in powder form (enamel) to
metal. Cloisonne is a particularly intricate technique which involves the application of wire (usually fine silver) to an enamelled. These wire cells are then filled with enamel to create colourful glass designs.
During the session you will learn how to produce the base, apply the wires and fill the segments with enamel. You will be shown how to fire each piece yourself using a tabletop kiln. The cloisonne technique is very famous because it is fabulous for creating really unique jewellery, with a slight 1920s feel to it.
This one day course is ideally suited to those who have attended Toni's introductory enamelling class but please do ask if you are a complete beginner and we will try to accommodate you.
Expect to make around 2 pieces in this one day class
