Christmas Murder Mystery Dinner
Exmouth Pavilion and Moonstone Theatre Presents...
“The Murder at Marston Grange”
Christmas at Marston Grange was always a family affair but this year, 1935, things were to take a sinister turn. Everyone had gathered as usual, and it looked as if it was going to be a happy, festive time. That was until Edward Parker, who lived at the Grange with his wife Anne, had been found dead on the croquet lawn, with the murder weapon, a croquet mallet, lying next to him in the snow.
Edward was a retired surgeon and had lived a quiet life since finishing work. He was well respected and, indeed, liked in the neighbourhood. Of course, what appeared to be calm waters on the surface could well have dangerous currents underneath, and secrets which those gathered had thought long buried may have come to the surface.
The police had been called and Detective Chief Inspector Charles Appleby had brought the suspects together and was determined to discover those secrets and get to the truth. He calls on the other guests present to help him.
All the clues will be there to lead to the unmasking of the culprit, but will they be correctly deduced? Chief Inspector Appleby is determined to close the case before the Christmas holidays are over.
