Turning Tides Festival

This September will see the return of Turning Tides festival, a free music weekend on Greenwich Peninsula, London’s most vibrant riverside destination. Taking place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September 2022, the festival will feature an exciting and varied programme of live music performances, all against the backdrop of the iconic river Thames.
The festival, held annually, is pleased to announce Ukranian ethnic chaos band DakhaBrakha and Nubiyan Twist as its 2022 headliners. DakhaBrakha — the world-music quartet from Kyiv, Ukraine, who recently took to the Glastonbury Pyramid Stage will return to the UK with their first performance in London this Summer..
Headlining Sunday’s programme will be Nubiyan Twist - the blend of virtuosic players, skilled producers and inspired composers. The nine piece collective whose music ecompasses a wide array of African inflecred popular genres including jazz, high life, afrobeat and soul produce sounds that are made for the stage.
Support acts Wayne Snow, Fehdah and Brixton Chamber Orchestra are set to join them for the weekend, with more acts to be announced soon.
