Thursday Evening Meditation Classes: Buddhist Way of Loving Kindness
Love is the key to a happy and meaningful life. Which is why we want to make sure we are letting our love shine.
The more we are able to love others purely, the happier we will be, and the more all of our relationships will be fulfilling. But what does loving others ‘purely’ mean? So often in our loving relationships we also experience pain and conflict. This pain isn’t coming from our love, but rather from our attachment or ‘sticky desire’, which generally leads to false expectations and an inability to see the other person’s point of view.
On this course we will learn to distinguish clearly between love and attachment, and see how we can skilfully use our relationships to increase the former while decreasing the latter. In particular Darren will teach and guide a profound meditation on love that naturally enables us to our hearts more fully to others so that we empathise with them and how they see things.
