Music at the Mote

Music at the Mote – A night of live music and fun in the scenic moated manor house

Music has been an integral part of Ightham Mote’s 700-year long history – and that isn’t stopping any time soon.

On the 29th July Kent-based band The Dial, who have been entertaining crowds for 10 years, will be performing on the picturesque lawns of the 14th century mansion. The performance starts at 7pm and tickets cost just £15 each.

The National Trust property, in Sevenoaks, has hosted Music at the Mote annually for several years and the event is only growing bigger. With an onsite bar and a mixture of soul, pop and rock classics to enjoy, guests are encouraged to bring a picnic and celebrate summer in the best way – with dancing!

Ightham Mote was acquired by the National Trust in 1985 and is now one of the most peaceful and characterful medieval manor houses in the country. Throughout its long history enchanting sounds have resonated through Ightham Mote, made by the remarkable musicians, singers and composers who have lived and visited there. Music nights at the Mote has been a way bring that history into the modern day and connect visitors to this not-so-distant past.
