Vache Baroque Festival

The Vache Baroque Festival is a fresh and forward looking organisation bringing audiences world-class Baroque music in a stunning setting. Just a stone’s throw from London, performances are held in the grounds of The Vache, an historic stately home located in the heart of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our main opera this year is Charpentier's Orphée (2nd & 4th September), which follows the tale of the legendary Greek hero Orpheus as he journeys into the Underworld. We're also going on an exciting mission to discover the origins of sound in our interactive show A History of Sound (3rd September) and need the help of children aged 7-99 (and their adults). You'll receive your very own special agent number as part of our secret organisation and might even get to make a vegetable pipe... There will also be plenty of opportunities to enjoy a picnic and explore the sound installations across the grounds.
