All the fun of the fair! Kidderminster care home hosts summer party
A care home in Kidderminster is inviting the local community for a day of family-friendly summer fun.
On Saturday 27th August, from 11am-3pm, the team at Care UK’s Brook Court, on Oldnall Road, is opening the doors to welcome the people of Kidderminster to their summer fair.
There will be a tombola, where visitors can try their luck to win a host of prizes, a cake stall, and a face painter on hand to keep younger visitors entertained.
Guests will also be invited to tap their feet along to live music from Rubery Radio station, who will be broadcasting some of the residents’ favourite songs live from the home.
Those visiting will also get the chance to take a tour around Brook Court and see exactly what life is like at the home.
Nirmala Rattu, Home Manager at Brook Court, said: “Maintaining strong relationships with the community is an important part of life at Brook Court, and hosting our summer fair provides us with a wonderful opportunity to welcome the people of Kidderminster into our home.
“We are thrilled to be able to be able to open our doors to the local community once again and celebrate summer together in style. Everyone is very excited to have friends, family and neighbours joining us for a good old-fashioned sing-along, and maybe a little dance too.
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming local people for an afternoon of family fun – you won’t want to miss this.”
Brook Court is a state-of-the-art care home which provides full-time residential, nursing, dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. The care home, which features 67 en-suite bedrooms, has been designed to enable its residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence. The care home incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities and includes its own cinema, hairdressing salon and café.
