Come and play on our prototype Vibrotactile floor – created in our studios at Pavilion Dance with The Motion Dance Collective.
Stand, sit, or lie on this specially-made floor, as you feel every beat of our dance film and explore our R&D project on all things Vibrotactile. Chat to the creators and find out more about making things ‘Vibrotactile’ and how it can change / augment the audience experience – or just come and play and see what it feels like!
Access information
The floor is flat, and sits about 3cm off the ground. It can hold the weight of a power assisted wheelchair. Not everyone likes the feel of the floor – you can simply move off it at any time and the film can be stopped. The installation is stewarded by one of the creators who will talk you through the experience. There is an image of the floor in use below.
